The Hong Kong Supplementary Character Set (“HKSCS”) contains Chinese characters that are specific to the Hong Kong environment and are used by the public and the Government in electronic communications. By using the HKSCS, the public and the Government share a common set of characters to make electronic communications more effective and accurate. To view and input Chinese characters in HKSCS, you may need to install additional software. Please visit   here  for detailed information.

Overseas Internet users should note that the telephone numbers and facsimile lines of Hong Kong are preceded by the area code "852" and "$" in documents, unless specified, refers to Hong Kong dollars which is US$1=HK$7.80.

We are committed to ensuring that our website conforms to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA requirements to the maximum extent possible. However, this webpage contains some archive materials that are not frequently used, hence not all Level AA accessibility features have been incorporated. Moreover, since our website contains some multi-media contents, colour digital maps and advanced map related functions, it is not possible to incorporate all Level AA accessibility requirements in all of them. Nonetheless, the multi-media contents and the map related functions are so located as not to affect the accessibility of significant contents in our website. If you wish to have such information in a format accessible to you, please let us know by email to  enquiry@yes.labour.gov.hk.
