Requirements

S.6;HKCEE 5 or more subjects passedHKCEE passed(includingChinese, English, Mathematics);Fluent Cantonese; Fair English; Able to read and write Chinese; Able to read English

Duties

Undertake a three-year Railway Technical Trainee Scheme, which includes: ?Induction courses (including railway safety rules and railway systems appreciation) - 4 weeks ?Multi-skills technical training - 15 weeks ?Rotational on-the-job training in engineering departments - 59 weeks ?In-depth training in designated engineering departments - 78 weeks Technical training includes learning how to operate equipment of the railway system; including various electromechanical and electronic equipment, such as high-voltage overhead cables and distribution equipment, signaling, telecommunications and computer systems, and tracks supporting train operations, etc.

Skills to be Acquired

Knowledge railway safety rules and railway systems, as well as knowledge of professional railway systems maintenance (including overhead line, signaling and telecom systems, permanent way, rolling stock and station equipment)
