The Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) of the Labour Department will organise the Government and Reading Culture Recruitment Day on 28 September 2017 (Thursday), offering over 50 vacancies without requirements on related academic qualification or work experience.  YETP trainees and interested young people may submit applications and have interviews on-the-spot.  Successful applicants will undergo on-the-job training with pay for the first 6 to 9 months of employment.

Recruitment Seminar Time:

12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
(If you are not yet a member of Youth Employment Start (Y.E.S.) of the Labour Department, please arrive at the venue at 11:30 a.m. for membership registration.  You may also finish the pre-registration on Y.E.S. website http://www.e-start.gov.hk before the recruitment day)

Basic Entry Requirement:
  • Aged 15 to 24
  • School leavers with education attainment at Form 4 to sub-degree level (or equivalent) (Please note the entry requirements of different posts)
  • Lawfully employable in Hong Kong (For non-permanent Hong Kong Identity Card holders, please provide travel document to prove that you are lawfully employable in Hong Kong)

Applicants should bring along these documents:
  • Hong Kong Identity Card (both the original and a copy);
  • Resume;
  • Education qualification and employment record proof (if applicable) (both the original and a copy); and
  • Several recent passport-sized photos

Attention
  • Those who have previously worked for Education Bureau, Labour Department, The Eslite Culture Hong Kong Limited or The Commercial Press (Hong Kong) Limited under any forms of employment or services are not eligible for joining the recruitment day.
  • Trainees under on-the-job training employment may wish to apply for transport allowance from the Work Incentive Transport Subsidy Scheme. Please visit http://www.labour.gov.hk/eng/service/witss.htm for details.
  • If the Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Warning Signal No.8 or above is still in force at 7 a.m., the event will be cancelled.
  • YETP will conduct photo and video shooting in the event for promotional and publicity purpose. For enquiries, please approach staff of the Labour Department on-site.
