YETP of the Labour Department, Global Tea Lounge International Limited and Hong Kong College of Technology will jointly organize a tailor-made training-cum-employment project, “Junior Tea-Bartender/ Tea-Bartender Training Project”, offering 20 on-the-job training vacancies for the post of Junior Tea-Bartender/ Tea-Bartender. A recruitment day with on-the-spot interviews will be held on 2 December 2021 (Thursday). Successful applicants are required to attend a pre-employment training course for 7.5 full days. Trainees are entitled to training allowance during the pre-employment training period. Upon completion of the training course, applicants with good performance will be engaged as employees and undergo on-the-job training with salary for the first 6 months of employment.

Trainees are eligible for a retention allowance of $3,000 if they are engaged in full-time on-the-job training for 3 months and an additional $1,000 for completion of each subsequent month. For part-time on-the-job training, the respective amounts grantable will be halved. For details of retention allowance application, please visit the YETP website.

Basic Entry Requirements:

  • Aged 15 to 24
  • Form 6 to sub-degree level (or equivalent)
  • Lawfully employable in Hong Kong

  • Education qualification and employment record proof (if applicable) (both the original and a copy);
  • Two recent passport-sized photos

A 16GB USB memory stick will be offered on site to YETP Trainees and job seekers eligible for YETP.

Pre-employment Training Course (Free of charge)

Successful applicants are required to attend FREE pre-employment training course provided by Hong Kong College of Technology. Trainees are entitled to a training allowance at a rate of $70 per valid training day during the training period.

Interview and training Rundown
Attention
  • Trainees who had previously worked for Global Tea Lounge International Limited under any forms of employment or services are not eligible for joining the above Training Project.
  • Trainees who have attained an attendance rate of 80% or above in the pre-employment training course are entitled to a training allowance at a rate of $70 per valid training day. Eligible trainees may submit training allowance applications to their respective case manager.
  • Trainees should ensure that they are available during the course and notify their case manager before applying for this course. To ensure effective use of training resources, upon your successful enrolment for the subject tailor-made training course, referrals for workplace attachment training and on-the-job training will be suspended till completion of the training course. Besides, other pre-employment training courses and workplace attachment training previously enrolled will be cancelled.
  • Trainees may contact the YETP Office (Hong Kong office) at 2835 2147 for enquires on the pre-employment training course above.
  • If the Black Rainstorm Signal, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, or “extreme conditions” is issued / announced to be issued within 3 hours before the start of the recruitment event, or any of the above signal/warning is still in force during the
