Tailor-made Training-cum-employment Projects

Support Enterprises　Train the Youth
To better suit the needs of job market and employers, the YETP organise "Tailor-made Training-cum-employment Projects" (TTEP) based on the specific skills requirements of employers on their employees. Upon satisfactory completion of the pre-employment training courses customised to particular posts, trainees will undergo on-the-job training for 6 to 12 months, receiving continued training and employment opportunities.


One-stop Training and Recruitment Support

Free one-stop supporting services are provided to employers with considerable manpower needs, thus assisting them to recruit employees with the right potential, while reducing recruitment and training costs at the same time.
Supporting Services include

  • Formulation of training plan
    • Initial screening of trainees
  • Arranging recruitment seminar and job interview
    • Tailor-made pre-employment training courses
  • On-the-job support services to trainees

Roles of Labour Department, Employer and Service Provider:

Employer

  • Provide at least 10 training vacancies of a particular post with substantial training elements
  • Have been running a business in Hong Kong for not less than 6 months
  • Offer employment to at least 80% of the trainees who have satisfactorily completed the tailor-made pre-employment training course (>=80% attendance)
  • Appoint experienced staff as mentors to trainees at a maximum ratio of 1: 5
  • Agree to comply with the requirements of the Programme
  • Support the promotion of projects

Service Provider

  • Draw up the tailor-made pre-employment training course contents
  • Promote the project among potential young people through it's network
  • Provide suitable venue and manpower for the staging of recruitment seminars
  • Organize and conduct the courses
  • Maintain close contact with employers and the Labour Department to ensure smooth conduct of the project

Labour Department

  • Coordinate the conduct of project
  • Assess and vet the contents of tailor-made pre-employment training courses and vacancies
  • Arrange recruitment seminars and engage suitable trainees to job interview
  • Paying the course fees to service providers
  • Granting employers on-the-job training allowance of a maximum of $5,000 per engaged trainee per month during the 6 to 12-month on-the-job training period
  • Support the mentors appointed by employers
