The demand for themed cakes has experienced an incredible surge in recent years. Consumers are now seeking customised cakes to celebrate special occasions and to create lasting memories. Youth Employment Start (Y.E.S.) is organising a Themed Cake Baker Taster Course for Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) trainees. This course offers a comprehensive overview of the dynamic baking industry, and the products’ versatile applications across different settings. Trainees will learn about the artistry and techniques behind creating themed cakes, while also acquiring a foundation in baking principles and flavour combinations.

Date: 10 and 17 April 2024 (2 classes, trainees can enrol in class 1 and/or class 2)
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Quota: 20 per class (First-come-first-served basis)
Venue: 18/F, The Globe, 79 Wing Hong Street, Lai Chi Kok
Course enrolment: Eligible YETP trainees who are interested to enrol in the course are required to submit applications to YETP Office via their respective Case Managers
Deadline of enrolment: 3 April 2024
- YETP trainees enrolling in this course must also be registered as Y.E.S. members. Non-Y.E.S. members may conduct preliminary registration via https://www.e-start.gov.hk/ in advance. Y.E.S. will contact them to follow up the registration arrangements. Also, YETP trainees will not be entitled to Training Allowance as it is not a YETP pre-employment training course.
- Training quotas are limited, please enrol as soon as possible. YETP trainees can enrol in both classes of the course (i.e. classes on 10 April and 17 April 2024). The Programme Office will assign training places subject to the actual registration situation.
