Upon completion of Form 5 education, Donald was determined to find a job but was perplexed about his career choice. Donald joined YETP on a friend's recommendation. Computer is his favourite subject all along. I.T. Seeds Project assisted Donald in achieving his dream when he was employed as I.T. Support Technician Trainee in S.K.H. Chu Oi Primary School (Lei Muk Shue). During the on-the-job training period, Donald took several computer applications courses via the off-the-job vocational training allowance to enrich his job skills. In light of handling bulk of personal data and sustaining the campus network security, Donald has discharged his duties with earnest and discreet mind. His employer appreciated his steady improvement on job performance. After completing the on-the-job training, Donald has been employed as I.T. Assistant in Ju Ching Chu Secondary School (Kwai Chung). His career goal is to become a Department Head of IT Section in a listed company.

David had attempted HKCEE and HKALE for several times but the results were unsatisfactory. In the past, he worked in daytime and attended evening school. Neither could perform well eventually. David had done three temporary jobs in over two years and most of them required manual work. David no longer insisted on tracing academic qualifications when he realized the importance of possessing a job skill. Showing keen interest in the coffee-related industry, he joined the tailor-made training-cum-employment project under YETP. Working with resolution during the on-the-job training period, he has acquired different techniques in brewing espresso. He also improved his communication skills and become a good team player at work. David was promoted to be Barista. In order to enhance brewing and latte art techniques, he often visits other coffee shops. Having a passion in coffee-related art, David wishes to have his own coffee shop in the future.

Alison had joined YETP long time ago and had completed different types of training courses, including a course on Young Photographer. She managed to apply the photo-shooting skills in her current job. Alison was employed as Sales Trainee in the on-the-job training through YETP. Apart from discharging daily duties of a property agent, she was mainly responsible for taking pictures at flats for transaction and uploading the photos to her company's webpage. Initially, Alison came across difficulties in responding to the clients' requests and time management of her work. Her family once opposed her to continue the job, but Alison's zealous working attitude changed their perception. Having worked in this company for less than a year, Alison was promoted to be Junior Property Negotiator. She is now a competent assistant to her mentor. Working with high efficiency, Alison had acquired the highest number of flats solely handled by her company among hundred frontline colleagues within a month and won a prize in a company's incentive scheme. Being a diligent staff, Alison continues improving her sales tactics and customer services techniques. She aims to be a successful Property Agent Marketing Executive.

Wai Lung can be described as a "hooligan" two years ago. At that time, Wai Lung neither showed interest in anything nor had any plans for the future. Under the arrangement of a social worker, Wai Lung joined "Action S5" under YETP. Over the period, his supervisor has witnessed Wai Lung's change in adapting to the requirements and rules of the working environment. Wai Lung is highly appreciated for doing his utmost to perform any duties assigned. He showed steady improvement on job skills. His motivation came from the family as he wanted to perform well to earn stable income to support his family. From the programme, Wai Lung has also identified his career interest also. He intends to have career development in the social welfare sector. Wai Lung plans to take further studies related to social work and become a social worker in the future. He wants to help the youths to go on the right track by drawing reference on his own experience.

Being a new arrival from Mainland, Yuan Zhen had encountered various kind of problems when adapting the living in Hong Kong. She was introverted and passive. Subsequently, she joined "Action S5" under YETP and learnt interpersonal skills. She was then successfully employed as a Programme Assistant in a service counter of an elderly centre. She maintained good relationship with her colleagues. Her performance was highly appreciated and recognised by her supervisor. Yuan Zhen worked with motivation and initiative. She never grumbled about whatever tasks assigned. She showed courtesy to the elderly members and took care of them patiently. In the workplace, Yuan Zhen learnt practical job skills, including computer application, word processing and coordination of classroom activities. She also applied her interest and knowledge by teaching the elderly simple Japanese. By this, she grasped the meaning of work and job value. Yuan Zhen plans to take further studies related to social work so as to become a registered social worker in the future.

In the past, Iman changed part-time jobs frequently. Interpersonal and communication skills were her weaknesses. She was taciturn when joining YETP at the early stage. Under her mentor's encouragement and her efforts, Iman became more open and could get along well with her colleagues. Her service was always welcomed by the customers. Her enthusiastic working attitude and good discipline are particularly well-known in the salon. Even Iman was busily engaged during the peak season, she still kept a good attendance record and always focused on clients' needs. Iman secured her current employment in a Japanese-style Salon through YETP. Provided with the training and examination by the employers, Iman had learnt a variety of hairdressing and hairstyling techniques. She wanted to become a hairstylist as her career because she found the job nature well suited her personality and interest. Her positive working attitude was highly appreciated by her employer, who was confident that Iman's career goal of setting up a Japanese-style salon could be achieved in the near future.

Initially, Kin Shing had no knowledge of photography and disliked interacting with people. He faced a big challenge when he had to deal with many tourists in his job. Moreover, he had to work outdoor no matter in sunny or rainy days. However, with a target of completing at least one year employment contract, Kin Shing worked hard to improve his photo-shooting techniques. Gradually he cultivated his interests in photography. He also improved his interpersonal skills and learnt to be open-minded to greet the tourists proactively. He was successful in overcoming the psychological barrier, and enjoyed job satisfaction. Till now, Kin Shing has worked over two years. His sense of responsibility was highly commended by his employer and was now promoted to Senior Sales Associate (Photo). When his supervisor was on leave, Kin Shing was delegated to handle the tasks. When there were newcomers, he would take the lead to teach them. Kin Shing plans to take further studies on improving English proficiency for better career development. He wishes to travel around the world to capture the beautiful scenery in his photographs.

Before joining "Targeted Career Training Mission (TCTM)" under YETP, Ka Wa was impulsive and used to arguing with colleagues and changing jobs. With encouragement from her case manager, Ka Wa started to understand herself and share her feelings with others. Having improved her communication skills, Ka Wa got along well with colleagues and discharged her duties by teamwork. Her job enthusiasm, good attendance records, caring heart for pets won commendations from supervisors. After completing the course, Ka Wa attained the qualification of "Pet Grooming Certificate C" and became Pet Groomer Apprentice. Ka Wa was promoted to be Junior Pet Groomer last month due to good performance in work. She plans to have further studies and regards her mentor as her working goal. Ka Wa wishes to be an outstanding Pet Groomer in the future.

In the past, Yuet Hei was proud of his intelligence and often absent from school. His academic performance maintained fair but he had problems to get along with others. This trait hindered him to cooperate with his schoolmates. Meanwhile, his family had financial problem and his academic achievement was far below standard. All these factors deterred Yuet Hei from continuing the undergraduate study. He then decided to find a job instead. He had worked as a tutor and storekeeper, but could not stay long in the posts due to unsuitability of job nature. Eventually, Yuet Hei acquired on-the-job training in an audit firm through YETP. Although he had no accounting knowledge or experience, his employer was still willing to provide him the opportunity. Under his mentor's guidance, Yuet Hei had remarkable improvement and got along well with the colleagues. In the past, Yuet Hei was self-centered and acted in his own way. At present, he is a modest and motivated youth who would strive for the best in work. With good analytical ability, Yuet Hei will strive to become a professional accountant in the future.

Elice acquired her first job through YETP and worked as an Airport Ambassador. At the initial stage, Elice was very quiet and passive. She rarely communicated with her colleagues and often remained silent during meetings. In order to meet the job requirements, Elice determined to improve her weaknesses. After achieving significant breakthrough, Elice's efforts were recognized by the employer. She was then promoted to be Leader of the Airport Ambassador and her leadership skill was further sharpened. In recognition of Elice's outstanding performance all along, she was appointed as the Airport Ambassador Supervisor responsible for monitoring the work of the airport ambassadors as well as discharging administrative duties. In the eyes of Elice's employer, she was a reliable staff who could meticulously serve the tourists with courtesy and work independently with high team spirit in handling complicated tasks. Elice wishes to visit the airports in different countries and draw their distinctive features in her picture book.
