Wong Ka Wai; Present Post: Chef Trainee; Employer: Meraviglia Bar E Ristorante; Training Body: Youth Centre of the True Word Lutheran Church, Limited (Provision of case management services); Ka Wai is diligent, enthusiastic and hard-working and he is willing to accept different opinions. He enjoys cooking a lot and has great passion in his work. To gain more experience and to brush up his skills, he actively participates in cooking competitions and is the youngest among all the participants at the age of 17. Though he has not won the competition at last, he has not retreated even under pressure. His persistence and determination are highly praised.
Huang Mingfan (lcy); Present Post: Beautician Assistant; Employer: Bonnie Beauty Centre; Training Body: The Salvation Army (Provision of case management services); With the encouragement of her father, lcy joined YETP to better equip herself after moving to Hong Kong from the Mainland. Initially, she had difficulties in getting along with others due to communication problems. However, with good observation and adaptability, she quickly adapts to the new environment and successfully enters the beauty industry in which she is interested. Icy's initiative in learning and assisting other colleagues of similar background is highly appreciated by her employer.
Lam Ho Yin; Present Post: Motor Technician Trainee; Employer: Dah Chong Hong (Motor Service Centre) Limited; Training Body: Vocational Training Council (Provision of case management services); Ho Yin is willing to take up new challenges at work. When leading technical sharing sessions, he prepares notes with diagrams in order to illustrate the technical concepts clearly, He has very positive working attitude and earnestly takes advice from others though he may have higher educational attainment than some of his colleagues. To facilitate reading of repairing manuals, Ho Yin also learns Japanese after work with a view to enhance his professional knowledge.
Wu Wai Sheung (Eva); Present Post: Sales Assistant; Employer: Kee Wah Bakery Limited; Training Body: Caritas Hong Kong (Provision of case management services); Eva frequently changed jobs in the past. Since joining Kee Wah through YETP, she has become serious about her work. She is keen to learn form the shop manager for working independently and takes notes to familiarise herself with the prices, ingredients and names of various products in different languages. Her initiatives and attentiveness have deeply impressed the branch manager.
Ho Chi Lung; Present Post: Programme Assistant Trainee; Employer: Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association; Training Body: Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (Provision of case management services); The Salvation Amy (Provision of pre-employment training course under the special employment project "Action S5"); Chi Lung indulged himself in the internet world for nearly 3 years in the past. At the beginning of joining "Action S5" of YETP, his working ability and attitude were considered fair. He once tendered resignation angrily as he was unable to get along with his supervisor. With the counselling of his case manager and the employer giving him a second chance, he returned to work. Since then, he re-gained his direction. He has become more self-disciplined and is ready to take up responsibilities at work. He now completes his tasks on time and has shown significant improvement in interpersonal relationship. Chi Lung's mother is gratified to see all these positive changes.
Lam Hiu Ling (Ling); Former Post: Clinic Assistant Trainee; Employer: Human Health Medical Centre; Training Body: New Territories Association Retraining Centre (Provision of case management services); Ling has great interests in the nursing industry since school age. Hindered by academic results, she could not further her studies after completion of Form 5. Nevertheless, Ling has not given up her career interests. She joined the clinic assistant training course through YETP and has started working as a clinic assistant trainee. Meanwhile, she actively studies medical knowledge and vocational English to prepare herself to be a registered nurse.
Lam Chun Tung; Present Post: System Developer; Employer: Neo-Multimedians Limited; Training Body: Free Methodist Church Tuen Mun Children & Youth Integrated Services Centre (Provision of case management services); Unable to enter the Science Stream, Chun Tung discontinued his studies since Form 4 and indulged himself with internet games. After joining YETP. Chun Tung discovered his interests and potential in computer programming and was determined to start a new life. To pave way for his career path, Chun Tung actively equips himself with relevant knowledge and enrols in relevant courses under the Programme. Now, Chun Tung possesses a clear goal and his self-image is significantly enhanced.
Kam Do Tong (Kim); Present Post: Installation and Maintenance Technician; Employer: Product Technology Limited; Training Body: The Salvation Army (Provision of case management services); Disappointed by his HKCEE results, Kim stayed at home for nearly two years which had undermined his communication and job searching skills. His realisation came after a severe blow of the sudden hospitalisation of his parents. Kim then began to think about his future. Through participation in YETP, Kim has got the job of technician and is now ready to shoulder commitment for his family and himself.
Tang Hok Him (Oscar); Present Post: Motor Technician Apprentice; Employer: Dah Chong Hong – Dragonair Airport GSE Service Limited; Training Body: Vocational Training Council (Provision of case management services); Oscar is friendly and hard working. When encountering difficulties at work, Oscar makes attempt to review the procedures in search for solution and ways for improvement .His positive working attitude has earned much credit from his supervisors. To further equip himself in the career path, Oscar not only actively acquires work–related licences, but also takes a bachelor degree programme after work.
Leung Yan Yi (Yani); Present Post: Airport Ambassador Leader; Employer: Airport Authority Hong Kong; Training Body: The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (Provision of both case management services and pre-employment training course under the special employment project "Airport Ambassador Programme"); Yani joined the Airport Ambassador Programme in 2009 and was promoted the year after. She took good care of frontline duties when working as an Airport Ambassador. Since her promotion to the Airport Ambassador Leader, administrative work has become her major duties.  Her outstanding performance and innovative management concepts from time to time have brought about lots of constructive inputs to the team.
