“MIT Self-enhancement Project” aims to demonstrate the shining performance of this year’s 10 Most Improved Trainees (MITs). Highly recognised by the employers, service providers and adjudicators, our 10 MITs are young people who dare to try and pursue their dreams. Their unbeatable spirits are clearly shown in the TV programme.
Dr. C K Law, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, encouraged the MITs and young people to step up and grasp every opportunity for a boundless future.
Ms. Karen YIU, who has been an adjudicator of the "YETP Most Improved Trainees" since 2013, also expressed her view on the Youth Employment and Training Programme and gave some suggestions to young people in the TV programme.
In addition to the Youth Employment and Training Programme, the Labour Department also set up two "Youth Employment Start" (Y.E.S.), located in Mong Kok and Kwai Fong, to provide one-stop career guidance service, value-added training and self-employment support service exclusively for young people aged between 15 and 29.
Just like many other youngsters, the 10 MITs felt lost after leaving school. Through joining the Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP), however, the 10 MITs were able to map out their career paths. Striving very hard in their respective positions, they eventually showed their own talents in different industries and took a great leap forward.
