Here come the 10 Most Improved Trainees this year!

Co-organised by the Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) of the Labour Department and Radio 2 of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), the Award Ceremony of YETP Most Improved Trainees cum Concert named "Solar Project 2018 – Dream Journey with YETP" has been successfully held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium on August 23, 2018.

Once feeling lost in direction, through joining YETP, the 10 Most Improved Trainees have each taken a great leap forward in their career with their untiring efforts. Their shining performance has also earned them the recognition from their employers and training bodies.

Dr. C K Law, Secretary for Labour and Welfare (third from the right in the second row) met the Most Improved Trainees and congratulated them on their achievement. By joining different employment projects under the YETP such as Airport Ambassador Programme, Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic Trainee Training Project, Project for Tradesman Traineeship, and Ethnic Minority Ambassador Programme, the 10 Most Improved Trainees equipped themselves well with the hands-on experience in workplace and became more certain about their career path.

Mr. Carlson Chan, Commissioner for Labour (fourth from the left in the second row) and Mr. Charles Hui, Assistant Commissioner for Labour (Employment Services) (third from the right in the second row) showed support for the young people.

This year, trainees with meritorious performance have been selected for the Merit Awards so as to encourage more young people to work hard in realising their career goals and dreams.

Stressing upon the strong motivation and unbeatable spirit of the Most Improved Trainees, Dr. C K Law encouraged young people to better equip themselves and make every effort to advance towards career success.

Dr. C K Law, Secretary for Labour and Welfare (middle), Mr. Carlson Chan, Commissioner for Labour (second from the left), Ms. M K Chan, Acting Deputy Director of Broadcasting (Programmes) (second from the right), and the show performers officiated at the kick-off ceremony. They lit the flame on the stage which signified the hope inside the heart of young people, motivating them to fully unleash their potentials and make dreams come true.
